Today we’re letting you know how the Easter event works.

Summary

This event will have 3 phases where the player has to obtain an egg, hatch the egg and then feed the creature. The creature will then become one of 3 types of personalised companions.

The companion type (dark, light, neutral) will be dependent on the karma the player used during the hatching phase, and the power and effect of the companion determined by the final feeding phase.

Phase 1 – Obtaining the Egg

For the first 7 days of the event there will be a new mission location in Grand, a cave. It is the task of the knights to explore the cave.
There will be only 1 opponent there, the Grotto Watcher which will drop high levels of Silver.

Exploring:
Exploring the cave is done via missions. Every 20 points spent here will generate 1 mission point (regardless of combat win/draw/loss).

3 points = 10%
6 points = 20%
And so on.

As soon as the user has explored 100% of the cave he will get his event egg. A new interface will open in the Tavern menu called ‘Egg’ and in this page you will see all the controls for it.

As well as the Event egg, doing missions in the cave can give you the eggs from last year’s Easter event. Players may find 5 types of colours eggs (sells for silver) and the golden egg (sells for gems).

Phase 2 – Hatching your Egg

This phase runs at the same time as the first one. After acquiring the event egg, the remaining days from the 7 days of phase 1 will be used to care for the egg until it hatches. This phase dictates how the creature will look like.

Players will be able to cast karma spells on the egg to change its alignment (dark, light or neutral).

In total there are 3 stages of development for light 3 for dark and 1 for neutral. As a bonus, the top 5 karma users for this phase will get a special companion.

Phase 3 – Feeding your Companion

As soon as phase 2 is over, the egg will hatch and phase 3 will run for 7 days. The egg page in the Tavern will be replaced by a new page for the companion.

Users will be able to find food for their companion during missions; this food can then be used to feed your new pet.

There are 7 different stages and 4 abilities that your companion can get, the power of each ability increases with each stage.

All in all, the event will run for 14 days! We hope that you’ll enjoy it!

Hear yea, Hear yea!

The Tsar of Arythmere will be returning to the realm of Caldean! To honour his visit, the Lords and Ladies of Battleknight have declared 14 days of celebration!

During this festival all tournament registration fees will be removed, knights will be able to take part in the tournaments for free. As well as that, the winners of the tournaments will be gifted a Brown War Bear companion!

We’ve even added a special treat, during this event the Black War Bear will be on sale for half price in the item shop!

We have an update for BattleKnight, it’s small but has a few important changes for the game.

Changelog

• [Feature] Players can now report order (alliance) messages.
• [Feature] Unsubscribe link for advertisement emails has been added to the registration mail.
• [Fix] Clues that point to event locations will automatically fix themselves after the event ends.
• [Fix] Match making for order wars was not calculated correctly.
• [Change] Remove all negative constitution debuffs from items (existing and future.)
• [Change] Minimum characters for reporting messages has been decreased to 5.

The update will be live on the German servers first on the 16th of June.
All other servers will be updated on the 17th of June.

Noble Knights and Fair Sheild Maidens!

The rulers of Battleknight have decided to bestow upon us many new updates starting on the 5th of August!

Update Changelog

• New: no health point loss in duels below level 5
• New: automatic heal for low level accounts
• New: reward for joining and order or founding one
• New: one time login bonus for beginner
• New: new itemset for low level accounts: shadow runner
• New: new companion: the crow

Health Points below level 5
Firstly, this counts only for PvP duels, not missions.
HP in combat will work exactly the same (they loose hp until they are capped) however after the combat, the HP is automatically returned to pre-combat levels.

Automatic Healing for low level accounts
Players that get taken to below 10hp whilst they are below level 5 will be automatically healed by Merlin (max 3 times). If you are between level 5 and level 10 you will get another 3 heals for free.
The healing will only take place if the user is online.

Reward for joining and order or founding one
When you join or found an order for the first time, you will get two 50hp potions.

Beginner Login Gifts
If new users log in 5 times during the first 5 days, they will get a bonus. The bonus does not repeat and cannot be restarted.

Day 1: 1x 50hp potion
Day 2: 50 Karma points of the karma the user uses.
Day 3: 1 Premium potion (100%)
Day 4: 1000 Silver
Day 5: 5 Gems and 120 mission points.

Shadow Runner item set
This will be the beginners version of the Dragon/Griffin armour. Unlike the current item set, this one will be only useful on the early levels and focuses on elemental resistances.

Companion – The Crow

This is a companion that will give you a discount on items at the merchant, (equipment only and discount on silver only)
As a special, the crow will be 50% cheaper for players below level 15.

Part 2 – Server Starts and Tanoth Promotion

For now ORG, AR and LV will not be a part of this.

The Tanoth to Battleknight promo on Germany went really well so we’re expanding this to almost all other BK comms. In short, players that come to Battleknight from Tanoth will be able to get special items from Tanoth.

We are going to do this promotion in 2 different ways, a group with a server start and a group without a server start.

When there is a server start, the Tanoth promotion will direct the user to the new server. In the case of the group without a new server start, the promotion will direct the users to the newest server.

What exactly is this promotion?

1/ Tanoth players will see a special link in Tanoth, and will also get a link in a mail which will lead them to a special BK page. This page only displays the new server (or the newest avaliable server for comms without a server start). Players have to use this page to register otherwise they will not be flagged as being part of the Tanoth promotion.

2/ If you are part of the Tanoth promotion, you will see a special in-game news about the promo content. If you are not part of the tanoth promo, then you will just see the usual advert for all users.

3/ By taking part in this event you will be able to get some special items and art.

-A mount (Cloud/sky snake from tanoth) avaliable after level 5. Increases armour by 5%, Aptitude by 5% and travel speed by 25%.
-One of 3 special Tanoth Avatars
-A Tanoth BG for BK.

Today we have something rather special to announce.
The Battleknight BETA server will soon be updated with the new 1.5.0 version and we’re offering our players some fantastic rewards if they help us test this new update!

What sort of rewards do you ask?
The Muse, Black Lightning Bolt, Gems, and the alternative art for the Gryphon chest armour will be raffled out to everyone that takes part in a special checklist.
On top of that, if you are the first person to report a new bug then you will be rewarded with a coupon worth 30 gems. (Can be used in any Gameforge game/any server.)

What do I have to do to take part?
Firstly, register on the beta server!

You will then be asked for a special username and password, the username and password is: beta

Everyone who is on the server by 18:00 will be given 100 gems. Please note that the Beta server does not have a payment system and so you cannot top up gems for money.

After the update, the BETA server will have some special settings until Monday:

• All registered players (before 18:00) will get 100 gems.
• All cooldowns have been reduced by 50% except for Order wars.
• Order war run time has been reduced to 15min
• Order War: 1 round = 15min instead of 8h.

The Hunters Event – User Manual

As you will have guessed, we are going to re-do the Battleknight Hunters event. The last time that we ran this event there was quite a lot of confusion as to the purpose of this event and how beneficial it could be towards users, so this year I’m trying a small explanation.

The first point to keep in mind is for people that took part last year:
For players that participated in the event last year, if you had any Hunter Marks left, they will be available for you to use in this round, we purposely kept them for you!

Onto the event, for those that do not know what it is about, the gist of the event is that for the next 2 weeks, every 2 days a ‘special’ hunting monster will spawn in an unknown location.

Don’t worry, we won’t let you run around blindly (but you can do so if you want to!) One or two of the locations will be announced on our Facebook page just after the monster swaps.

The Aim
The aim of the event is to hunt the special hell-spawned monsters and collect hunter badges. The monsters that drop the badges start off on the low levels and therefore will at first only give a very low silver payout. However as the event progresses, the silver payout will increase. That said, farming silver is NOT the objective of this event, this event is essentially a window of opportunity for the intelligent players to gain various premium estate bonuses for free! This is done from the special hunters shop.

The New Shop
The event brings with it a new market option that gives you access to special gear (the retro gear from pre 0.9 times), mounts and companions – the legendary Muse is available here! But perhaps most important of all is that players can buy the premium bonuses using the badges, collect enough badges and you can get the premium estate for free, or perhaps you want a different estate bonus, well don’t worry – they will be there too!

As I mentioned earlier getting the badges is the key to this event, they are dropped only from the event monsters. If you encounter an event monster from a 20 point mission, you’ll get 1 badge, 40 points will earn you 2 badges and a 60 point missions will earn you 3 badges. That said, hunters should take note that even if you are in the right location, it’s not guaranteed that you’d encounter the beast you’re hunting!
